A true-blue Calcuttan...

You cannot be a real Calcuttan unless you have been baptized in a coffee house adda.

You can love an adda, or hate it, but you cannot ignore it.

If you find yourself in a situation where you have to wait for someone who is deep in adda - either propounding his theory, or silently listening, you will see that nothing, but nothing, but nothing is going to make him/her budge from there till the adda is over. And not rushed over, but properly over...

Gradually you realize that since the adda just won't go away, you might as well gracefully give in and: join in, go away, or wait meditatively...
